The Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti State, Muslim Omoleke, has gone missing.
It was reported that, Omoleke was kidnapped at gunpoint at Iwaraja, a town very close to Ilesa in Osun State, around 4pm on Thursday, November 3.
He was abducted along with his child and driver, but his child and driver were later released Punch reports.
A source told Punch newspaper that "They later released his child and the driver along with the vehicle and took him away. We have not heard anything since then,"
Meanwhile INEC spokesman in Ekiti, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, was said to have confirmed the incident.
Gbadegesin said the kidnappers have not contacted Omoleke's family and the commission.
