Brazil Looses Ex-Captain To Heart Attack


According to Local TV report, Alberto who captained Brazil's 1970 World Cup winning side, died on Tuesday, October 25 after suffering a heart attack. The former captain Carlos Alberto died at age 72.
Playing as a right-back defender Alberto played 53 games for Brazil and won titles with Fluminense and Santos.
Before his death, Alberto worked as a commentator for Sportv in Brazil.
His last appearance on television was on Sunday, October, 23.
He scored a goal in the final  against Italy that is considered to be one of the greatest in the history of FIFA World Cup.
The defender also played for SantosFlamengo and New York Cosmos.
