The Nigerian Table Tennis star Quadri's amazing run in the Men's single table tennis event ended today as world number one Ma Long from China defeated him in four sets:11-4, 11-2, 11-6, and 11-7.
Quadri started just too strong, sharing the first four point with Long 2-2, but from that point on the Chinese took over and the match was quickly over in just 28 minutes.
Long was just too strong a hurdle for Quadri to surpass but Nigerians and Africans will be proud of his record breaking efforts as he became the first African ever to reach the quarter final of the Men's Single event in an Olympic Games
